Goes to hot and won’t cool down when turned to say 3or 4

I am presuming you are on low pressure if that's the case then a strip down clean and fitting a seal kit should solve the problem.

If you have a low pressure cartridge and you have fitted a combi boiler then you will need to fit a high pressure cartridge.
