Mira Excel B FL (B83) cartridge replacement

My shower was working perfectly, and really hot. Unfortunately the red tab snapped in the cartridge so I needed to replace it. I bought a brand new Mira cartridge 903.33. I turned off the water, and took out the old cartridge, and replaced it directly with the new one. My problem is that now when I turn on the shower, it isn’t as hot, I’ve adjusted the temp control as seen on your videos, and the temp is turned to 9 and it is still warm but not as warm as it was with the old one. I also have the flow regulator which isn’t fitted, what am I doing wrong and why isn’t it as hot now with the new part basically one for one?

Have you set the dial at the back to the correct setting for your system.
