MIRA 722

Hi, The shower was installed approx 30 years ago and cold water was from a feeder tank in attic with hot from a boiler. Since then the hot is supplied from a combi and cold water from mains. Could this be the problem behind fluxuating water temperatures (becoming very hot then falling back down to more comfortable temperature). I believe I have the 902.21 still in the mixer housing. If I have to change it do I have to replace the whole cartridge assembly or just the piece with the different shaped holes in it. If I only have to change the piece with holes can you confirm part number so I can order it from you. I also intend to get a service kit to change all seals. Many thanks for your help. Rob Nicholls

You should have balanced pressures into this shower to make it work correctly.
Fitting a PRV onto the cold side may help.
If you do this all you should need to do then is service the existing cartridge.
