possibly faulty TCO

Hi, I have recently replaced the TCO twice on my shower with i think original parts sourced locally. the first was a dud and did not work at all. this was then replaced FOC and worked for about a week and then back to cold water.

I have tested the TCO in situ and there is power running through it until the shower is switched on and then the TCO opens instantly so no power is getting to the microswitch. I have good pressure and the micro switches are activating and good. 1 other small thing i noticed is that when i place a phase tester on the out side of the tco with the shower off , it causes a very slight flicker in the low water led. I dont think i have wired it back incorrectly as it did work for a short period but am open to correction. Alternatively, i'm thinking another faulty TCO although it passes the standard test. thanks

The TCO is a simple on off switch that is activated by heat.

The usual reason for a new TCO failing is a micro switch that is sticking on and keeping one of the elements energised when the power should be off therefore the shower over heats and the TCO cuts in.

I have to say unfortunately I suspect the wiring if you send us a few photos of the wiring I’ll try and work it out.
