Mira Essentials 9.5kw shower 2001

Smell coming from the unit. Switched off the supply, removed the cover and the terminal block mira 431.87. That is burnt thro on the live connection altho the current is still running thro. to the card panel above. Seems to be slight damage to the incoming live wire before the block but I can fix that. Is it possible that changing the terminal block could fix the problem or is it more likely to be some other item malfunctioning ? pwer

It may be the connection was not tight enough, causing the wire to over heat, and replacing the damaged parts will fix the problem.
But you may want an electrician to check it to be sure.
