Pump running no water from shower head

Hi

Have removed inlet filter and cleaned very small amount of grit. Checked solenoid resistance = 1.3K but replaced solenoid coil anyway. Vacuumed black deposits from inside of unit and PCB (suspect particles from brushes). Pump runs and 240V ac mains is applied across solenoid terminals. There is slight sparking from brushes but pump rotates and spins very fast.

Could the pump propeller have fallen from the pump drive shaft? Should I replace the pump? Reason I want to fix it (besides the cost) is that trying to find a model which will fit on existing pipe ends with retiling etc might not be easy. Unit bought from B&Q 6 years ago.

What else to try? Could solenoid actuator have stuck?

Yes the actuator could well be the problem. But

the things to check first are.

1 That the main valve coming into your house is fully open.

2 Then check that the valve and filters on the line to the shower are fully open and clean

If these valves / filters are not fully open/blocked  then there may not be enough water getting to your shower.

I dont think there is a problem with the motor.
