Shower turns on fine for a few secs then high pitched motor noise and dribble

It's as though it is pumping air. I have checked the filter, solenoid and that the hot & cold water flows freely. Presuming it is time to replace the unit? If so are there any direct replacements for the "Mira Essentials T B85D 04/04"? Many thanks.

If you have checked the filters and the water supply is good then considering its age it may be the time to replace it

The Vigour on the right of this page is pretty much a straight change over.
