Mira event xs - thermostat problem?

Shower been working fine for few years - suddenly flow reduces when water hot. Have cleaned filters, but still same. Suspect thermostat (453.01) Q1. Are there any inspections or tests that can verify this is problem? Q2. Can it be repaired? e.g. de-calc'd etc. Don't want to buy new if can't prove it's the problem

Have you checked that the hose is not collapsing inside and thus reducing the flow?
The cartridge cannot be repaired , only replaced.
