i have the same problem regarding the on / off button and the bar you mention has come away.

is there a diagram / picture to show how it should go back on and where do you glue it ?

The bar has a thinner part and just beyond this is the place where you can superglue it back onto the inner body. The bar has a sort of honey comb section which should face towards you when fitted.
