This question is regarding Mira Event XS Thermostatic - Shower Spares

Mira Event XS Thermo Noise Problem

We have moved into a house where the Mira Event XS was previously installed so dont know how old it is but its been running fine for a year or so until now.



It started to make funny noises which unfortunately are hard to describe but yesterday it will only provide a very small flow of water and the shower is making even more funny noises.



To help diagnosis I recorded the noise and put it onto youtube : http://youtu.be/M49cpnosG_4



I took the front cover off and there is a smell coming from it, I think it could be the motor or brushes etc.



Any help would be appreciated.

From the sound, it sounds like the pump is being starved of water so the first thing I would do is clean the filters if this doesn’t do it then get back to us.

Hi,



Checked the filters and they were completely clean. Sorted the flow issue but the motor is still really noisy.



Posted new video of it, as you will hear the motor seems to jam completely towards the end of the video and now wont do anything.
