Mira Event XS Thermostatic SHower

This morning the oval on/off switch failed to operate the shower and it feels as though the 'spring' or mechanism behind the button has failed. The button is now sitting in what should be the on position but the shower is not operating. I have tried to remove the casing to look behind but can't seem to get the casing off as it seems to be fixed at the bottom. I have removed the 2 top and 1 bottom screws but no success. How do you suggest I get this sorted? Many thanks

If you click on the first link below it will take you to an exploded diagram of the shower. You have to remove the temperature control knob before the cover can be removed.
To cure the on/off switch you need to fit a harness assy which can be ordered online by clicking on the second link.
