slight leak from motor area
after being ok for a long while our 8 year old was taken off the wall and then returned to it after re-tiling the bathroom. It worked ok for a few weeks but now it won't switch off using it's button. So we shut off the power and checked inside. There was a weeping leak of water coming out of the on/off button. Looking closer this appeared to be coming down from the bottom of the motor pump assembly. Do we need a new seal or a new motor, or something else?
It sounds like the water has got into the on/off button and shorted the switch out.
If it is a leak coming from the motor and pump unit then unfortunately there no spares for that you will have to just replace the complete motor and pump unit.
