Approx 2 hours after using the shower, at which time it was working perfectly, the shower was turned on and the flow was very poor, almost as if the shower was not receiving enough water. This was while the shower was at heat setting 5 our normal setting in summer. As soon as the heat was turned down to position 1 normal high pressure water flow was resumed, however as soon as I tried turning up the heat the pressure died away to almost nil again. I tried checking the pipe back to the combi boiler and found that it was cold for approx 1.25 metres and only started getting warm as it got to the junction of the feed pipe from the boiler. On the other side of the junction which feeds all the taps in the house, the pipes are hot and each hot tap supplied is giving hot water with no problems. Is the problem most likely the cartridge assembly or are there some filters in the cartridge that need changed, replaced or cleaned? The way the water and flow cuts off, when hot water is requested suggests a blockage to me but I am working without instructions and somewhat in the dark as it were. It's alright thanks, there is no longer any need for you to reply, I've discovered what the problem is, had the new part supplied and now have completed the repair. Sorry for wasting your time but family pressure meant I had to deal with the issue quickly. ( Two young men living at home and courting means a working shower is compulsory, lol, they don't seem to understand that a bath works just as well). My apologies.

There are filters on the hot and cold side. It only takes a little blockage in these to cause problems with this type of shower . Cleaning these would be the first place to start.
