Lever control

I moved in to a property which has an Excel B shower fitted. This was fitted when the property was built in 2000, My wife now has trouble in turning the shower on and off. Can the control be changed for a lever type and if so do I need a completely new on and off control or can the existing control be adapted?

There no standard lever type controls for this shower.

However the knobs do tighten up with age, a new cartridge should solve the problem.
