Mira excel shower.

Had a new shower pump fitted to my shower which operated fine for a few days now it has stopped working. The plumber who fitted it says that the 903.33 cartridge is faulty. The pump operated intermittently when the shower was set to hot, but when turned to cold the pump stopped working. Could a faulty cartridge stop the pump from tripping in?

Thanks

In theory no, unless the inlet filters in the cartridge have become blocked.

As long as there is water passing through the cartridge then the pump should come on, however I would need to understand a bit more about how the pump was installed before being absolutely sure.

George have just checked...have removed the shower head and turned the shower to hot....water passes through the cartridge. When turned to cold no water comes through.
