Mira Excel shower

The hot water dial now needs to be turned nearly to the maximum in order to get a high enough temperature, whereas previously half way was sufficient. The fitting is about 18 years old, therefore it may need replacing. Is it still available and if so, please provide me with details of price etc.

This is not a thermostatically controlled shower, therefore if the inlet temperature hasn't changed, then I suspect that the filter on the hot side of the valve may be partially blocked, therefore not allowing enough hot water into the valve.

Thanks for your helpful reply but I don’t know how to access the filter to clean it. The hot water dial is on the shower wall with a backing plate behind it.

The filters are in the inlets you need to turn the water off and remove the shower from the wall.
