Flow Cartridge / Lever

My shower was leaking, then the flow became restricted, then the flow all but ceased. I ordered a new Flow Cartridge & Flow Lever and fitted both. On switching back on the water supply, the water gushes out from above the Flow level where it meets the body. I have dismantled and re-assembled so many times now and still the same problem. Somebody help me before I go insane!!!

Hi

Sorry can’t be much help here other than state the obvious, Have you got the seals in the correct place and have you reassembled it the way it came to bits?

The only other thing I can suggest is fitting a new flow cartridge

I had the same trouble and as suggested it was the order of the seals. The problem is the valve easily falls apart in your hands and you are then guessing the order for reassembly. The order is (I believe) working from the brass body first a small black 'O' ring then the 2 ceramic discs then in the recess INSIDE the black plastic section facing the discs goes the orange seal. There is no seal on the top of the assembly. Hope this is of help to people in the future.
