Mira 88 - concealed valvue - can't loosen nut

Any tips on how to loosen the large nut to remove the valve - it's stuck solid and I'm afraid to apply to much pressure in case I damage some of the connecting pipework.

I can't see any way to get at the pipework to brace it while I pull on the wrench (a massive stilson(?) I borrowed for the task!).

How much pressure is it safe to apply?

Any assistance would be appreciated

PS - saw your youtube demo on this which was excellent but hitting the nut with a hammer or heating it (as suggested in the video) hasn't worked

Did I leave the bit out in the video where it suggests Dynamite?

You Have tried all the obvious things the next step is to try heat from a gas torch, heating the brass ever heaver blows with the hammer.

If that doesn’t work then heat the brass and use a hammer and cold chiselin to the outside edge of the brass cover to drive it round, if it gets badly damaged then it can be replaced.

The other alternative is to remove it from the wall and get it in a vice.

Regarding how much pressure you can put on it, it really depends on how well it is fixed to the wall, so the answer is an unhelpful, probably more pressure than you think, but not as much as you would like.
