Mira Gem 88 exposed shower tempeature problem

I have a Mira Gem 88 exposed shower valve, and the temperature control lever is stiff and the water temperature is to hot. The lever has to be moved to the cold position to get the water to a comfortable temperature. The hot water temp at the taps seems ok. Could this be a problem with the cartridge or something else ?

Yes, the most likely cause is a faulty cartridge, but check that the head and hose are clear.
