Flow restriction

Never been able to have a hot shower, only gets luke warm. The cold pressure much higher than the hot water pressure. Should the thermostat cope with this or does it need a flow restrictor on the cold side.

This valve is designed to cope with roughly equal pressures,so fitting a flow restrictor in the cold side may help solve theproblem.
