Mira mode built in

Shower turns itself on intermittently suggesting on off valve is faulty- what part do I need please

There should be no reason for the shower to turn itself off in this way. www.showerdoc.com/mira-head-assembly-extended-spindle-spare-1528-573
is the item for turning the shower off, but these do not usually work on their own.
