Mira play -tripping my electrics

Hi

My shower has started to trip my electrics. It only happens when I have it set on the high setting and once it gets up to temperature. It works fine on the medium setting, but water is cold due being winter.....

The wife is complaining :(

Can you advise me as to what it may be please

This could be a faulty element in the heating tank shorting out to earth so check with a multimeter for short between element connections on top of the tank , if this is the case then as the tank is no longer available a new shower is required , this link will take you to our Play parts list and at the bottom you will find our recommended replacement units

If the element checks out as ok then it may be th circuit breaker is over sensitive or of too low a value it should be 40amps.

If you do not have a multimeter you can order one from us using this link.
