Water won’t turn off

Hello, our Mira play shower won’t stop running water even after I had turned the switch off and later killed the electrics. I have to turn the water off at the water stop cock. After reading online, it seems it’s either the solarnoid or the flow valve which needs replacing. It’s quite an old shower. What do you think it is? Thanks

Hello

It does sound like it is the Flow Valve/Regulator that needs replaced, sounds like the valve has jammed open inside.

Hello, thanks for the advice, I’ve since purchased a new replacement flow regulator from you and installed it. It seems to have gone rid of the problem of the water running after being turned off!

My only concern is that after I tested it by running the shower etc, when I then turned off the shower it sounded like the new flow regulator is powering down...this noise happens for about 5 seconds afterwards. I was just wondering if this is normal with this type of new flow regulator? Cheers

If when you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the shower keeps running then you have a faulty solenoid valve.

When you switch off the shower at the main isolator and the water stops running, then you have a faulty on/off switch or a faulty PCB or a micro switch that is sticking on.
