Mira PPT3 leaking - hot water end

Hello, trying to find a leak which results in the supply circuit RCD tripping.

1. Do the very thin thrust washers on the impeller shaft serve any sealing purposes ? The outer one on my pump appears to be of larger diameter than the diameter of the flat portion of the impeller. Does your replacement Impeller kit (937.38) include new thrust washers ?

I'll investigate further, but I suspect the motor shaft seals may have hardened and started to leak - that means a new pump, right ?

2. The spare parts diagram of the pump parts shows the pressure regulating valve in a position which differs from what it says in the manual - fig 15 - where the pressure regulator seal is shown on the low pressure (supply) side of the impeller for the PPT3 motor. Is this important ?

Appreciate any comment you may have,

Many thanks, Dave

I don’t have themanual therefore I am not sure about this pressure regulating valve

Basicallyif the pump is leaking from one of the shaft seals then it is not repairable soit is time to consider a new pump
