This question is regarding Mira Realm - 1996 - 2010 - Shower Spares

mira realm light golden shower

My shower unit is a light golden Mira Realm unit.

I think it is post 1996 because it has the Tepid, Hot & Cold options on it.

The hot water flow is blocked to a trickle coming through to the shower head, Cold water is flowing as normal.

What could this be?. Is it normal for this to happen or related to a failed part.

There is a lot of limescale in the water in my area could this have caused a blockage on the hot water pipe entry. The Hot tap in Wash basin beside shower is fine.

If you click on this link it  will take you to an exploded diagram of the Realm , first of all check the flow regulator in the hot inlet for blockage.
If it is ok then would recommend stripping the valve down , cleaning thoroughly and fitting a seal pack.
