Mira Realm Shower Diverter - Handset supply hose ejected from unit

Hi, we have a Mira Realm shower, with diverter, yesterday, whilst showering, the outlet pipe feeding the hand shower head blew out of the diverter assembly under water pressure (it is fed by pump and has been used by previous owners for some years). I must admit I cannot understand how it is retained in the assembly as there appears to be no thread, circlip or retaining screw. Is it just an interference fit held by the sealing ring? If this is the case, can I assume fitting a new sealing ring from a ‘Mira Realm ERD diverter seal pack (1735.115)’ will retain the hose outlet pipe or are there parts missing? There is no sign of any fracture or breakage. Is the repair something I can do as a reasonably competant DIY'r or should I call a professional ? Your early reply would be appreciated Many thanks David Hobbis

The hose on this shower has two conical ends , www.showerdoc.com/mira-logic-1-25m-metal-shower-hose-chrome-2-1605-166

one of which is screwed onto the diverter. It may be that this conical end is the part that has broken and is still attached to the divert.

If this is not the case , a picture of the area would help with solving the problem.

Thanks for your response. The hose is intact and all OK, it is the stub, to which the hose attaches, which should fix into the diverter casing that has blown out. Whilst it does not show in attached photo of the offending stub there is no sign of fracture on it or the casing - all chrome being intact.
