Low flow

My Mira Sport shower has recently begun cutting out with the low flow warning light coming on. I have tested the solenoid and the first time I measured it I got 3.6kohms. However after the last test after the flow cut out I was measuring open circuit. Does this mean the solenoid has failed? Thanks Iain

Normally solenoid coils start to fail intermittently so this could be the case. As long as the water is cutting off and not the heat and you are still getting cold water then i would say you have a faulty coil.

You will find a new coil and a video on how test them vis this link provided - www.showerdoc.com/mira-solenoid-coil-assembly-spare-416-51

Alternatively you can replace the flow valve that incorporates the coil so you are covering more ground for if you have a faulty flow valve too.
