mira sport 10.8 - temperature has dropped

I usually have the temp gauge at 55 - 60% max heat, always on high power - this gives a great warm shower - suddenly this 60% is now flowing cold, not freezing cold like it does when turned all the way down, the only way to get a decent heat is to turn the dial up to 90% max heat, but the flow is significantly reduced now. I have replaced the TCO, but this did not change anything. Don't really want to venture into changing other parts on a whim as the tank is £90 - ant advice would be great.

It may be a faulty element in the heating tank (there are two, three in most 10kw showers) you can check them with a multi meter you should have a reading of around 12>18 ohms.

If you have power to the elements and no heat it's probably the elements, no power to the elements then it's probably a micro switch.

If you don’t have a multimeter we sell them at £10 each with a guide on how to use them for checking and testing the various parts of your shower.

Apart from helping to fix your shower, they are really useful for checking you have a power supply to appliances, for checking fuses, letting you know much power you have left in batteries

(so you know if they are dud or not) and lots of other jobs, in short they are well worth the £10.

I tried the multi meter - there are two elements, 11.5 and 9.4 where the readings

Sounds like one of the relays on the PCB is not allowing power through to one of the elements..

You can double check this if you like, but you have to do it live therefore if you are not confidant / competent to do this then accept that it is the relay board or call in a professional however if it is the realy baord tou will find that there is no power to one of the elements.
