Mira Sport max 10.8w flow valve

Hi Barrie, new flow valve now arrived, thank you. Upon opening the box, the replacement flow valve is stiffer if anything than the one currently in the shower unit. I am worried there is an issue with them. I rang Mira customer support and all they can say is to fit it and try it and it "may" become smoother with water running through it. As it is I am certain it will simply strip the teeth from the new front panel which I purchased from yourselves last week. Is there any truth in flow valves becoming easier to turn with water running through them?

The flow valves are lubricated , so they may slacken once used.

If it does damage the front cover I would report this to Mira directly.
