Mira Sport 7.5 KW Post 1992 Runs Hot and Cold, flow rate ok.
When initially turned on the shower runs Cold. when I turn the Temp knob up to Max the flow rate reduces (As you would expect I guess) and the water gets RED Hot while making a hissing noise. As you reduce the temperature down it works OK for a bit then goes cold again.
I can get a consistent temperature when the main on/off switch is set to LOW.
For a while now the optimum showering temp on the dial has been set at 3 which I have always thought is low (it used to be around 5 or 6).
Can you help diagnose? Regards, John.
It would appear that the pilot valve is faulty. Check that the head, hose and inlet filter are clear as this sometimes causes these symptoms.
