Mira Sport 9.8KW Post 2006 - Power problem
We used our Mira Sport 9.8 yesderday without any problems but when I attempted to switch the power off using the pull cord, the switch seemed to stick in the 'on' position. I did eventually manage to get the pull cord switch to 'rock' to the off position and the red light went out. I cycled the switch a few times and it seemed to be OK. This morning, the pull cord still appeared to be working correctly as the pull cord red light came on as usual, but there was no power light on the shower and when I pressed the shower 'on' switch on the front panel, there was no flow of water and no indication of water flow on the front panel. I noticed also that the red light on the pull chord switch became dimmer each time I pressed the shower 'on' switch during my fault finding mission. There is power at the terminal block into the shower and power at all of the 'live' terminals that I could check, although I have not used a multimeter to check exactly how much voltage is at the terminal block. Which new part do you think I might need to order this time please? Many thanks in advance.
You should only switch the shower off by the button provided on the shower.
If you test the power at the shower ( with a multimeter ) you will probably find it below the 230-240v required, and that the ceiling switch is faulty,
