No Power

Hi all,



I have recently moved into a property with this shower installed. The water has been off for over a year. Water was turned back on last week, I tried the shower but nothing. The RCD is fine and the pull cord shows the red light. The light on the shower does not illuminate. I checked the power in the shower and it showed 50v on the multimeter, I then decided to check the pull cord and noticed that the neutral wire was burned. Is this fault due to the pull cord, can i just replace the pull cord unit and cut off the damage on the wire. Can you help?

With it being turned off for so long there could be other faults however the first thing you need to do is replace the pullcord switch.
