The things to check first are:

1 That the main valve coming into your house is fully open.

2 Then check that the valve on the line to the shower is fully open.

If these valves are not fully open then there may not be enough water getting to your shower to cool it properly, it overheats the safety device cuts in (TCO) and turns the power off to the elements until it cools down and it all starts again!

Make sure that the shower head is clean and clear, that the hose isn’t kinked (this can happen just behind the hand set where it is difficult to see) also check the inside of the hose although it can look OK on the outside it could have collapsed internally

The other possibility is a faulty flow/stabilizer valve not allowing the correct amount of water into the shower.

Hi, Thanks for the feed back.
I have checked all you stated and can confirm that the mains valve was not all the way open, i have since corrected this.
I Tested the shower but it is still not working properly. In fact since my last email it went from going hot and cold to just operating with cold water.

The shower was working fine untill i recently changed the head and pipe, it worked for about 3/4 weeks then started to get hot and cold but as stated only cold water comes out from the shower.

I have watched your utube info for my type of fault and am thinking it could be the thermo cut out that needs replacing??

Would much appreciate your help.

Definitely not the Thermal Cut Out

You fitted a new head and hose, is the head compatible with an electric shower?

Yes I bought it from mira specific for my shower. I took the head off the shower to check that was not the problem and still only cold water comes out of the shower.
