upgrading a water heater

I need to replace the water heater in my shower as it chucks out lots of lime scale. Is it possible to simply upgrade from a 9.0kw water heater to a 10.8kw water heater in a mira sport. I have removed the tank before in order to descale and provided i take a picture of the wireing before i take it apart, it goes dack ok.

To be honest on most occasions it is no problem to change for a higher rated tank and the internal components of most showers (Not all) are compatible with a higher rated heat exchanger.

The problem we have is because we cannot see or inspect the installation fuses etc. we have to recommend that you stick with the same rating as is in your existing unit.
