pressure switch not 'making'

my solenoid coil failed, and when replaced, water flow was achieved. but no power to the elements. Using a phase tester, Live was found on one side of the pressure switch, but not getting through the pressure switch to the triac. . A piece of card to force the pressure switch to 'make' restores power and heat. So the diaphragm is not bearing on the switch adequately. Is there an adjustment of the relative position of the diaphragm and the switch? No evidence of water leakage anywhere, but a funny whining sound from the shower when turned off. There is normal water pressure and flow when operating.

If the pressure switch is faulty it is time for a new shower, sorry.
