Had to increase hot water on dial.

I have fitted this shower 5-6 years ago for a customer work all find until now. she says had it on number 6 on the dial for a long time but now has it on 9. So I was wondering if the thermostatic is going on the shower unit or could it be the cylinder (as it is old!). Would I need to investigate the cylinder? Would après ate your advice Many thanks

Yes it could be a problem with the thermostatic cartridge

However at 5 years old it is unlikely, these are usually good for around 10 years

So my first port of call would be the filters if the hot one is slightly blocked you will need to keep turning up the temp. to compensate (Part 6 on the drawing)

Remember if it is the stat then for another 60 quid you can get a complete new unit with a new guarantee.
