External ON/OFF switch

The shower wouldn't turn off using the accessible On/Off button, which was loose.

I took the cover off and the plastic "plunger" was in two parts, hence did not connect to the electrical switch. It didn't look broken, but since the rear part did not fit through the hole in the cover, I guess this was fitted at time of assembly, and I can only think these were glued together. I've just re-glued using Loctite superglue, and I'm waiting for it to set before re-fitting the cover. I thought it was worth asking in case this isn't a long term fix and there's a better solution I haven't thought of.

Thanks Phil

By now the glue will have set, and you will know if your fix has worked. I think this item is originally just pushed together, but a bit of glue in the right place maybe a solution.
