MX Inspiration LX - Lukewarm Water

Hi, I hope you can help me. Over a period of a few months my shower was getting slightly less warm and so I had to turn it up to make it hotter to the point where on max heat its only lukewarm. I assumed the element was worn out so I bought a new one off your site, replaced it and its still the same, lukewarm. So my assumption was wrong. I have put my neon electricians srewdriver on both of the 2 brown terminals on the element and the screwdriver lights up on both. So Im stumped. Seems like the 2 elements are getting power but it just isnt warming up enough. Water flow seems same as its always been. I would be grateful for your advice.

Thanks a lot

You need to know if you are getting around 240v to the shower, a multi meter will tell you this, your neon screwdriver will not. bIf you are then,

Forgetting about the temperature turn the shower from fully hot to fully cold at fully hot you should have not much more than a dribble coming from the hose and on fully cold you should have a good strong flow, if you do not have this difference then you may have a faulty flow/stabilizer valve.

If this is fine then the power selector could be at fault.
