This question is regarding MX Inspiration LXi (Chrome) - Shower Spares

MX Inspiration LXi keeps cutting out

Hi



Our MX Inspiration LXi shower has started cutting out. It will run fine for 2-3 minutes then cut out completely (no water, all lights turn off on the display). If left for 10 mins or so it will then turn back on, run for another minute or so and then turn off again.



We have not noticed a drop in water pressure and this seems to happen whatever temperature the shower is set to.



Can anyone help work out what might be causing this?

It may be your solenoid valve, you can check it if you have a multi meter, you should have a reading of at least k3.5 ohms, across the two terminals any less and you need a new valve. (Check the valve in the failed state.) (When it has stopped working!)

 

If there is power getting to the solenoid and it is not operating then there is a good chance that you have a faulty solenoid.

Thanks, I do have a multimeter and it was showing k4.10 ohms before use across the valve and not even getting a reading after the fault kicked in.



Will be ordering and fitting a new valve - thank you for your help!
