Self Cleaning?

Can you confirm how this shower heads works in terms of "self cleaning"? I am always having problems with shower heads in a hard water area and this option sounds great if it means mimimal or no maintenance from the sound of the title? Thanks

My opinion! Not the manufacturers blurb!

The jets are made from a silicone substance that lime scale is not 'supposed' to stick to so it will definitely last for longer without cleaning onde again in my opinion it may be better described as rub clean meaning that if you do see any build up then you can just rub the jets with the palm of your hand and any build up should just rub off.

The other thing you can do yo help build up is let the shower run cold for a couple of seconds before switching off
