what is max pressure

We have been through about 4 hoses in the last18 months. They keep failing at the ends and appear to not be able to withstand the pressure of water between the shower head and mixer unit. I have tried several different heads but the supply pipe always appears to go quite stiff when operating.we have a direct feed combi boiler system....any ideas?

Most showers have a max operating pressure of 5Bar a few with 10bar.

However the hose is on the outlet and has an open end so shouldn't be subjected to these pressures.

If the hose is going stiff in use then it suggests that you have fairly high pressure.

Give the water authority a ring and ask what pressure you have in your area also if you can send us a few photos of where the hoses are coming apart to see if we can see a problem.
