Water Temperature

I have a New Team 1000XT Thermostatic shower, and the temperature can be hit and miss. It's either just right, very hot or cold. The temperature dial doesn't seem to alter the temperature if its too hot or cold. Any idea what the problem could be?

The temperature dial may be broken at the back or the thermostatic cartridge may be faulty.
