Intermittent motor

The shower motor has become intermittent..it stops completely sometimes, a thump on the casing will restart it, though not to full power. I have opened the unit to check connections etc, they all look ok, but there is a lot of carbon dust around the motor, and I suspect the brushes are worn out. Do you supply brush sets, and/or what is the cheapest repair/replacement I can carry out.

Does the motor need to be removed to change the brushes on a 1500xt, if so does the water need to be turned off.

Thanks
