stiff control lever and dripping or flow when turned off

We have replaced the thermostatic cartridge, greased all the appropriate rubber o rings and the end with silicone grease, removed its housing and greased all the other relevant rubber bits. Put back ensuring the the rubber flange in the thermostat housing is all properly located before tightening and replaced the broken flow lever. The movement is still stiff. Before the lever broke we also had water overrun when the unit was turned off It still does this dripping for some time after use. We have run out of ideas Help!

Sometimes if the ring where the ,

is fitted is damaged or just worn, the shower will not fully turn off.
It maybe time to consider a new shower.

The shower has only been fitted about 4 months and it cant have been used enough to wear anything out. We bought it about 9 years ago when we bought a new bathroom but have only recently been able to fit it. It was working perfectly until it became stiff about 10 - 12 weeks after fitting. having only recently done all the pipework and knowing there was no direct replacement we decided to refurb with the new cartridge as we assumed the o rings etc had probably dried out from it sitting around and we could no longer get a service kit. We bought this shower as we had one in our previous house and loved it so would really like to keep it if we can find out what the issue is. I thought I had read from other peoples issues that there was a sensor that might affect the water flow but cant see anything on the unit or in the instructions. Any more thoughts please?

this maybe the part that you are thinking about.

But either the valve seals or the fish out of position are the usual causes of the shower leaking.
