what is the procedure for replacing it

There is a grubscrew in the main body accessed from underneath , slacke this off and the cartridge simply pulls out , there is a brass insert in the cartridge which must be aligned with the grub screw when fitting new cartridge.

Took the screw out and the cartridge will not come out. I've now spent two hours trying to get the thing out. So much for sliding out.
