can you please tell me how to remove the surface shroud (chrome) on the 911-m without damaging it, i am replacing the ceramic mixer.

You need to remove the indices on the front of the handle thenremove the handle retaining screw and the handle.

 

This should allow the retaining sleeve and the shroud tounclip and pull forward.
