Dura Speed 70 water pump

Have this pump fitted to boost low water pressure from gravity fed supply. Worked great as a power shower and even added it to bath with no problems for past 6-8 yrs. Recently only getting a trickle of water when turned shower on. I switch to cold for a few mins/secs, then when water pressure kicks switch shower mixer hot and all ok. Today just getting a trickle of water, filters not blocked and pump making a slight high pitch sound - what advise do you have and or next best pumps on market?

It sounds like the motor may be seizing , but also the hot reed switch seems to be faulty.
