On Off dial not working

I have a eight five shower, over 6 years old and the on off dial isn't working. The only way I can get the shower to work is by pulling the cord for the mains. Would it be the dial broken (externally looks fine)? Any suggestions please and what part I would need. Could a novice like myself fix it?

Many thanks

Yes it is probably only split on the splines inside replacing the knobs are fairly straight forward.

Make sure you switch the power off to the unit before you remove the cover.
