TCO cuts in too soon

Hi all,

I have a redring expressions 570 shower.

The TCO cuts in before the water is hot enough for a comfortable shower.

There is plenty of water flow, both heating elements are working, and the head/filters etc is clear.

Because the tco kicks in too early, and then cools again, Ithe shower temp oscilates from cool (not cold) to warm (not warm enough) and back again every 20 seconds or so.

Can I adjust the TCO to cut in at a hotter temp?

I think you may have a faulty Thermal Cut Out

A faulty TCO will have nocontinuity across the two terminals (The black thing on top of the heating tank)

Therefore a good TCO will have power atboth connections and a faulty TCO will have power at only one.

(The function of the TCO is, if the waterover heats it cuts the power off to theelements)

SeeVideo.

You cannot safely adjust the TCO`s cut off temperature.
