Redring Active 320s 7.2kw Shower Spares
My Redring Active 320S (age unknown, model #53-670501, serial #76 128038, I think it's the 7.2kw version) will only heat water when the power dial is turned very slowly to a position somewhere between the half-filled red circle and the empty circle. In any other position, the power light is off and only cold water comes out.
Picture of the bodged "on" position - lh4.googleusercontent.com/-V2L0Ga4_8lc/VMC79nsgLhI/AAAAAAAAAqQ/OBaXlGb6aOg/w1054-h592-no/IMG_20150122_085925424.jpg
The temperature dial is turned all the way up but because the heat dial cannot be turned all the way on it only provides slightly warm water.
Also, if a cold water tap is opened anywhere in the house (and sometimes just at random) the power light goes off and the water goes cold. It is usually possible to get hot water back by moving the dial all the way to one end then slowly moving it as described above, but sometimes this does not work.
Do you know what the problem could be?

The things to check first are.
1 That the main valve coming into your house is fully open.
2 Then check that the valve on the line to the shower is fully open.
If these valves are not fully open then there may not be enough water getting to your shower to open/close the safety device that allows the power through to the elements.
